Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The atmosphere gives off a personalised environment that you feel attended and cared from the service. Foods are all in high quality, but you won’t get that much options. For example: they have a lot of Chicken skewers but only have 2 pork skewers and 2 beef skewers. I’m personally more of a beef and pork person, but their Jo-Momo (photo 1) surprised me the most as it had the most juiciest and flavourful taste of a chicken ever. I’ll only rate this restaurant for food 4 Stars since there’re not many food options that suit my taste buds. For chicken lover, you may love this restaurant. There are other interesting dishes (photo 2) also but I didn’t dare to try so I gave to my parents P.s - the boss is very friendly and kind, get along with him and u may get some free treats"
"This yakitori-ya is an absolute standout! From the moment you walk in, you notice the excellent ventilation—there's not a hint of smoke, so you leave feeling fresh. The service is also top-notch; the staff is incredibly attentive. But the real star is the food. The yakitori is masterfully grilled, locking in incredible juiciness in every single skewer. The King Oyster mushroom and okra were particularly succulent. You simply must try their signature dish, the decadent egg yolk dip. And to drink, I highly recommend the 'Kibou no Shizuku' —it was wonderfully fresh and the perfect complement to the meal. A truly fantastic experience!"
"The service is awesome! Food - grilled cherry tomatoes and zucchini are my top favourite. Pork rib and chicken rice bowl quite disappointing. Pork rib quite chewy and the rice bowl is bland."
"This is my second time here, people were NOT kidding when they say the ice cream is really good (recommend Kuro goma black sesame). The liver was well cooked and creamy. The meat of course is grilled perfectly, the quail egg and cherry tomato is a must. The yolks on the chochin were rich and delicious. 12 course omakase is more than enough that it left me full and satisfied. The highball I ordered when I first came here was delicious when paired with the skewers. The staff and the owner were really nice, they match your pacing while serving the skewers. This place does not disappoint, come to Puchong to try this place despite the traffic, it's worth it."
"Yakitori Restaurant specialising in chicken, however they do have a small selection pork on the menu. Counter seating only arranged around the grilling area. The esophagus has a nice crunch and no unpleasant taste. Pork jowl is quite greasy and even fresh lemon doesn't quite help. Pork belly is a better choice. Also tried their off menu item - lamb rib chop (RM38). Generally, the meat are lightly seasoned, letting the natural flavours shine. If you prefer more kick, try their house spice blend."
"The Izakaya here is genuinely delicious, with every grilled dish done to perfection. This is my second visit, and I chose to return after a disappointing Izakaya experience elsewhere on the same night. This place never fails if you’re craving good Izakaya, you definitely won’t go wrong coming here!"
"The food is definitely good and up to expectation. The vibes are perfect. Well designed ventilation, as no smokes which irritates your hair and clothes. The night is perfect with toriyaki and sake. Cheers!"
"Absolutely amazing yakitori spot! The food is fresh and delicious — even the offal has no unpleasant smell at all, just pure flavor. The owner, a Malaysian who lived in Japan for 34 years, is super friendly and makes the whole experience feel authentic and welcoming. Highly recommended!"
